Congressman Paul Ryan was on The Larry Kudlow Radio Show this past Saturday to discuss his new plan, Expanding Opportunity in America. Congressman Ryan and Larry Kudlow discuss ideas going back to Jack Kemp, and the Congressman even refers to Outcry In The Barrio, a great program I have written about and observed. Plenty more on that later, but listen to the interview and let me know what you think.

Modern NBA World Champions
At the conclusion of the 2014 season, the NBA has now exited the modern era of the game and has moved into a phase of the game where people will lose interest. I wanted to compile in one place the complete list of NBA champions during the modern era.
1980 Los Angeles Lakers
1981 Boston Celtics
1982 Los Angeles Lakers
1983 Philadelphia 76ers
1984 Boston Celtics
1985 Los Angeles Lakers
1986 Boston Celtics

1996 Chicago Bulls
1997 Chicago Bulls
1998 Chicago Bulls
1999 San Antonio Spurs
2000 Los Angeles Lakers
2001 Los Angeles Lakers
2002 Los Angeles Lakers
2003 San Antonio Spurs
2004 Detroit Pistons
2005 San Antonio Spurs
2006 Miami Heat
2007 San Antonio Spurs
2008 Boston Celtics
2009 Los Angeles Lakers
2010 Los Angeles Lakers
2011 Dallas Mavericks
2012 Miami Heat
2013 San Antonio Spurs**
2014 San Antonio Spurs
* After the 1993 season, Michael Jordan was suspended from the NBA for gambling on basketball. NBA Commissioner David Stern subsequently cancelled the next two NBA seasons, so there was no champion during those two seasons. Michael Jordan returned for the 1996 season and continued to lead the Chicago Bulls to six consecutive NBA titles.
** Many outlets report 2013 as having been won by the Miami Heat, but this is wrong and many people missed the story. Long story short, the San Antonio Spurs were celebrating another NBA title at the end of game 6. 25 minutes after the game ended, the NBA sent in the referees to call a foul on the Spurs. The game resumed and the Heat won, theoretically. Then the Heat won the game 7 exhibition. After all of this, the Spurs were rightfully given their championship, but as mentioned above, the media missed the story and many places report this incorrectly.

The Joy of Kudlow and a Niece
Sometimes you just have to do the right thing. Sometimes that means listening to Larry Kudlow with your one-year old niece and introducing her to the joy of supply-side economics.
